Default Original DW gun, Armageddon Factor

Hi Guys,
Here's an original gun from Doctor Who, Tom Baker era.
It's Shapp's gun from The Armageddon Factor, the last story from The Key to Time season.
It's still in it's damaged state (I did think about repairing it),
but because it was damaged ON SCREEN I haven't...

When Shapp walks into the room, one of the guns on the wall shoots at him and he drops the gun quite clearly braking the gun, you can see the nozzle bounce across the floor, then Tom comes over, picks up the gun and gives it to Shapp.
You can quite clearly see the gun is broken...

When I got the gun, I soon realised the guns were fibre glass castings from an original thing.
(Now remember this was way before the internet)
I tracked down the company who made the original part, and found it, and was just down the road in West Drayton, west London, and still exisited !!!
So I went down, (gun in hand)
And to my amazment I found the bloke who supplied the BBC with the part.
He was chuffed to bits to see the gun, but said to me that it was part of an internal comprestion engine, and had been long since discontinued 25 years ago.
So there you go...

Hope you enjoy.

Andy H
