Default Foreign Space:1999 Episode Titles...

Hey guys,

I've been finding some of the foreign episode titles to be quite funny. No offense is meant to folks from other countries, please don't think I'm being insensitive or mean-spirited and I realize other languages would sometimes lead to the title being very different...

I've just been finding that some other countries have named the eps some very amusing things...

Such as...The Rules of Luton...In Germany it's called Rühr nicht die Pflanze an! (Don't Touch That Plant!), in Japan it's called Terror of the Plant Planet Luton.

Brian the Brain in Japan is Intrigue of the Killing Computer.

All That Glisters in Italy is The Milgonite, in japan it's Bizarre! Lethal Colour-changing Rock

Journey to Where in Germany is Schottische Geschichten (Scottish Stories) and in Japan it's Time travel bound for the longing Earth.

Japan seems to have the majority of odd and crazy titles. The titles in Year One are just as amusing.

Dana

All that Glisters and Rules of Luton still sound bad even translated into foreign titles, but I loved Journey to Where and the title Scottish Stories is intriquing...
I wonder what they called Dorzak and The Dorcons?

In The Catacombs, all the episodes have their foreign titles (if known) under each episode's guide page. http://www.space1999.net/catacombs/main/epguide/ty.html
The Japanese titles really are a hoot throughout!

I like how the Japanese title of Earthbound is actually No Return to Earth.

The Japanese titles tend to be very logical if nothing else
