I finished the white wrist pieces that go on the suit and have to put the front zipper on the suit and that will be finished. I'll have some pics up in the next couple of days. I also have the connectors for the gloves pulled and the material for the gloves, just have to cut and sew those together. I put the bottom extention on the helmet so i can redo the neck ring and made the two knobs that secure the helmet in the ring, so ,fingers crossed, I'll have the two versions of the neck seal and helmet done in a couple of weeks. Thanks for asking! I have learned to be patient with this project but still have the kid on christmas morning wanting to bust out.

Here is a long over due update. Since I now have Window's Vista, my camera isn't compatible, so I have to take pics and send with my wife to work to download them.

First is the helmet with the bottom extension put in and the bolts for the neck ring.

Second, the wrist pieces in various stages including the molds in the back. I didn't notice until the other night, that on these pieces, the buttons are only on the left one. The right one is plain jane.

and third.......the suit itself with the wrist pieces on. All that is left on the suit is to put the velcro on the bottom of the legs to hold the ankle rings on. Here are 2 photos in different lighting.

Looking good!

I can see a lot of work going into the helmet.

Thanks for the update, you will be the envy of all of us when you are wearing it for a well deserved portrait!

Just a little update. Some pics with the ankle rings and boots on and a test mock up of the plain Breakaway neckseal. There was a small animae/cosplay convention this past weekend, so I decided to crash it and give the suit a try. I won second place in the costume contest.

Cool! (Well, actually, I'd bet it's rather warm...)
Oh, congratulations for getting the suit done and for the win!

The suit looks really good, and congratulations on the most successful gate crashing expedition. Now I really want not just a comlock and a gun, but the whole suit.

Very good, especially considering that it's probably your first attempt and you haven't had access to an original costume.
Apart from the mock-up neck, which I'll ignore, the only thing that seems to stand out as wrong is the arms that appear slightly too fat and then have to squeeze down in diameter to fit the wrist connectors, this makes you look rather like a muscle-bound weightlifter. (which I suppose you could be?)

Good work

Awesome! you have inspired me. Can you tell me about the material, and where you found it, and how you went about making a pattern and sewing it?

Work on the helmet is nearing completion. Just need to tweak the visor frame a little more.....
