Sorry everybody,

I've been really busy at work over the last month and haven't had any time to devote to the buggy.
I will be back on it next week, with hopefully some castings available the week after.

I'll post photographs of the castings as soon as they're ready.

Phil

Moulds have been made with resin being poured during next week.
I'll post a picture of the kits as soon as they're ready to ship.

Hi All,

I wasn't happy with some of the components so I've been reworking them.
But now I'm finally finished and the moulds are made.

Over the weekend I actually started casting!

You can see the results at;

http://www.flickr.com/photos/34906980@N03/?saved=1

The model is cast in polyurethane to which I have added a filler powder to bulk out the resin - hence the green colour.

The more delicate items are cast in straight resin.

The 1/4'' metal axles are prefitted into the mould before casting.

From the photographs you'll notice that I have hollowed out the lower body to accept wiring and a battery for those (me) who want to make the lights work.

I can supply the electronic components if anyone is interested.

Also in the photographs are some storage and equipment boxes which I'm going to offer as well.

Trust everything looks okay, comments please!

Phil

Phil,

Looks great, I especially like that you have gone the extra mile and have made the accessories!

Just let me know when you need the money and plz +include an accessory set for both my orders. Any thoughts what your next project might be?

Simply AWESOME!
Cheers
Darren

And way to think ahead with the machined cable run and battery hole. Excellent work, Phil. Really wish I could afford all the amazing models I see being produced on this forum of late, but I hope I can get round to them once I am back in work.
