Default Parts of my Product Enterprise 12" Eagle are unpainted?

Hi,

I hope I'm not asking about something that is common knowledge. I've looked all over and I can't find any info regarding this issue.

I have a couple of Product Enterprise 12" Eagles, and parts of one of them are unpainted. I've compared pictures of other PE Eagles from all over the web, and it's easy to find ones that are both painted AND unpainted in the same way both of mine are. Is this a recognised problem of some kind?

Hello IronChef, welcome!

The first batches of PE Eagles had grey walkways, later batches had white walkways. Some of us painted the walkways of early Eagles white, as they should be. PE corrected that in the later batches.

Thanks for the info! Are there any guides showing how to safely disassemble the Eagle to paint these parts? It looks like under the thrusters on the bottom there is a screw, and the white caging around the unpainted part might split in half with some coaxing.

I deal with a number of people who specalise in paint colour matching, and I think I can dig up an airbrush from somewhere. No way I'm going to risk damaging these beauties.

You do not have to take your Eagle apart to paint these parts. I used a small brush and carefully painted the walkways through the holes in the spine and the cages. I used Games Workshop Skull white. There must be a thread on this forum about this very subject, complete with pictures. But that was ages ago ...

Found the thread:

In one of those pages you'll even find a visual guide how to take your Eagle apart.
