Default Captain America Set

As the new Captain America film premiers this week I though I would share my pictures of the set for some scenes being built in sunny Manchester around September 2010.the bicycles shop was built across an alley way so maybe something crashes into it?

Now this is interesting, were you involved in the production? Insights like this are brilliant, thanks for sharing.

Thanks, PK - I always love seeing a greenscreen built into a set. It means we're in for some nice over the top action / matte painting / CGI (hopefully nice CGI, anyway).

No, I didn't have any involvement in the film, I would have applied to be an extra if I had know early enough that it was coming to Manchester. It was being filmed on what were normal streets in Manchester's Northern quarter, mainly Dale Street and a few connecting streets and alleys, as it still looks like 1940's New York [see picture of fire escapes]. I used to drop my daughter off at work for 7.30am and then drive into town and take a few snaps before the security people had properly woken up.
