Default Alien Isolation

This looks like a great game based on Ridley Scott's original Alien movie. 'Aliens Colonial Marines' was nothing special but this (for me) has hit the nail on the head as far as the feeling of seeing the first film back in '79, and the design is spot on.

Here's the trailer:

Some gameplay footage:

And an interview with the devs:

A few screenshots are coming out too - all 'in-game' shots. Wow.

I've just started playing through it now and I have to say, I'm very impressed with the look, sound and 'feel' of it. The visuals have a lovely retro 'filmic' quality to them. There's also lots of Ridley Scott trademark 'lighting through smoke'.

Younger gamers and those who crave fast action won't like it but for someone like me, who fell in love with the Nostromo back in '79 - it's such a buzz to be in that world, walking around. I couldn't have guessed that it would be possible back then.

I can't wait until I meet the Big Guy. I'll probably crap my pants. lol

EDIT: Well, I met him - and met a sticky end! I managed to keep my pants clean though. o.O

I've got the 'Art of...' book - it's very well put together - the detail they went to was incredible.

Its a hell of a game and very creep when you hear the heavy footsteps coming after you! Very very hard not to get killed however but what a game!!!!! I am quite lucky to have a rare model kit build up of the Nostromo. One hell of a ship
