Default Best Sci-Fi Robot

Well I love that Robby in Forbidden Planet.
The voice and the cool look, the best in my book.

Hey, the Robot from LIS is no slouch, either.

Sorry, cant make up my mind. Narrowed the choice down to 2 though

Robbie the Robot (Forbidden Planet, what a film)

or

Robert the Robot (See Captain Sci-Fi's brilliant build thread, hope I can scrounge together the money to either build one myself, or buy one of his!)

The voice of Robby was provided by a well-known announcer of the day, Marvin Miller. His other appearances, besides Forbidden Planet, were The Invisible Boy and cameos in Hollywood Boulevard, Gremlins and Cherry 2000. He also appeared on TV in two episodes of Lost in Space, The Thin Man series, The Perry Como Show and even Columbo, and The Twilight Zone.
I know there is more.....but ??

Ooh... it's a hard choice but I'd have to vote for

Robby the Robot
Tobor the great
Lost in space 'Robot' or YM3?
The Robot in Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women (a russian film that was ruined by a B movie mogul...
Robert the Robot
The Giant robot from Dr Who

hm, actually, too many of them...

The one that brings a tear to my eye is the Silent Running Duey robot.
That movie is one of the best I have in my collection.

The list is endless. He showed up in Project UFO with a different head, maybe Space Academy, Gremlins, The Addams Family, and even a Charmin commercial...even he did not heed Mr. Wiffle.

I'm kind of partial to the Terminator myself, even if it is a cyborg rather then a true SF robot (until it gets its flesh burned off that is).

As for SF, R2-D2 gets my vote as the thing looks like a trash can, but it is loaded like a Swiss Army knife for every contingency. Of the other ones, Robby is okay, but the LIS Robot made the layout/design a little more practical with longer arms and treads on the feet instead of walking feet. Even if it is a bubble headed booby.

What about Friend and Nanny from Logan's Run ?
They were in the episode The Innocent where the runners find sanctuary in an underground shelter with a telepathic young woman and her two robots live in peace and tranquility.....anyone remember?
