Default The Biggest thank you....

Hi Guys,

It's been an intense day and I am completely knackered.

It's also been pretty emotional here at times. This would not have happened without the support and encouragement of you guys.

Once I have paid Mark I am going for a long lie down.

Sincerely, thank you, my Band of Brothers...

Carry on.....

Bernie.

Enjoy the lie down.

From a personal perspective, I'm relieved that the forum will be staying 'British'. After all, it has its roots in British Sci-Fi. That said, origin of ownership isn't the be-all and end-all but I have a lot of faith in the soon-to-be Administrator (and the team behind him) - and that was one of the deciding factors in the bidding process.

There will now be a 'period of transition' where I show Bernie the ropes and will relinquish control when he's happy.

Mark, on behalf of everyone here, may I add my thanks for creating the forum in the first place. You've done a superb job running the site, sometimes under difficult conditions, and dealing with the occasional idiot. As an occasional idiot, I appreciate the thought.

But seriously, it's brought together a bunch of largely uncoordinated enthusiasts and effectively regenerated the Anderson modelling scene. It's brought together modelmakers from across the world to share in their common interest and even made possible many new Anderson related products that wouldn't have existed without the forum. We are all richer for it. It's been enlightening, educational, sometimes frustrating but always a pleasure. I've learnt much myself from being here and it's been a privilege to take part. May your success here be reflected in your career and real world business interests and enjoy a well earned break from us uber geeks. Even though your chick may be leaving the nest, feel proud that you parented a well respected forum to full maturity. Good luck and thanks again for all the fun.

All the best

(Eagle)Mark, I agree with DX-SFX. Thank you for creating this brilliant ETF and a hope to always see you here still as an ETF Member in the future discussions too.

Blinkin'ek , don't log on for a few hours and look what happens , we have a new leader !
Well done Bernie and your most excellent team . Thankyou for saving this incredible forum .

Mark , without you, this forum simply would not have existed . Without you, amazingly gifted people from all over the world would have nowhere to share their passion for Anderson modelling . Without you, we would not have a place to call home full of those we now call friends .
Sir , I thankyou for the gift of this forum .
Tony .

I'd like to echo DX's eloquent thanks to Mark for creating not only a forum, but a real community of friends - some of whom I am very pleased to have met in person. I consider the people on this forum to be my closest friends with a shared interest which is deep rooted and has been since childhood.

Mark, you have brought us together as one coherent community - an entity with a soul. Without your action in bringing this forum in to being I suggest that most of us would still be bumbling along building mediocre models, mystified as to how to solve those problems and puzzles which seemed unsolvable. With the skill and expertise here, those problems are usually solved within hours, allowing us to go on to craft the replicas we really want.

The world would be a much poorer place without this community, and I feel honoured to have been a small part of it.

Mark I wish you every success wherever your interests take you. I do hope you'll still be around these forums for a long time yet and that we'll meet up again soon for a chat and a beer.

All the best mate, and good luck to Bernie - this is just the start of your journey !

Likewise w8cmp has been very good with his choice of words. not much more to say but to echo what those two guys have said and thanks for making this all possible and keeping a bunch of mainly middle aged blokes very happy. good luck with all that you do from now Markand all the best for our new leader Bernie
cheers Paul

Hi Guys,

Is it safer to be on the inside or the outside of the cage in this place?

Just a thought...
