Episode one (the Upside down Com Locks)

Ya..Im new to this site but Im part of the old school Im an Origional space 1999 fan...Watched it from the beginning on ch 10 in Providence RI way back when...74 75 or so... Any Way...Ebayed the series on DVD and have watched it over and over quite a few times and really picked up on some darnd weird things.. In episode 1 Breakaway Iv noticed the Com Locks Video shade is upside down on Barry Morses ..Sandra's and Dr Russels Come Locks in some scenes and then on the next shot flips back..watch when Mr Morse is in the travel tube and he and Martin walk in to Main Mission... It seems the shooting of the scences are not in order nor the props used 'match..  Besides the Commanders space suit changing from shot to shot that crazed Collins besides getting the magnetic gremlin in his eye seems to change space suits also...  Pete |

You'll have that. Tight scedule+tiny budget=the best they could do.
 Also, Koenig's comlock was missing a few buttons through several episodes  |

Didn't production start in 1973 for airing in 1975 and wasn't the budget about US$250,000 per episode which was big bucks 30 years ago...someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hey ..Gerry Anderson is not a poor guy either.... The 1st Space 1999 was shot in 1973 into 74 and was a spin off of the UFO second year....Gerry is never really clear why UFO spun into space 1999 it just morphed into it....Mainly he never shoots more than one season anyway...Pretty hard to being an independent producer. The 2nd season really has nothing to do with the first for many reasons. Silvia divorced Gerry or the other way around...Different sets because of where it was shot ,,,and American meddling with the show...Freddy! pete |
