Default SHADO Mobile

Does anyone have any info on the following?:

Length, width and height of the Real mobile?

Speed and capabilities of the real mobile?

Obviously it does not exist but based on scaled studio models and any performance specs made up in print.

Thanks

I think John Goode has all the info you require in his plans, there was no `real`mobiles just a studio scale model(s) they are approx 22" long

Hi, I understand no real mobiles existed, but if the studio model was 22" what was the scale? 1/24th, 1/20th, 1/12th ?

Plans based on the model are great for building a model, but how big would it have been in real life?

The studio filming miniatures of the Mobile were 20 1/4 inches in length. Scale isn't precise but most agree it falls around 1/12th, 13th, 14th depending on what driver figures you put in the cabin.

Check out my mobile evolution on the contest site. Would love to build a studio scale Mobile but too pricey

Default toy

What I wonder about is that I understand the working Mobiles were based on the track system of a toy tank...I wonder if said tank can still be obtained?

The toy mentioned is a Reading DeLuxe Tiger Joe, there were two models you will need the biggest one.
