Pants at the ready!
Great pics - many thanks for sharing. I guess we (or at least most of us U.K. members) all remember the Blue Peter version. At the time I thought it was very well put together - a plastic bottle, tape, a rubber and a button, IIRC. The Teleport Bracelet is one of the strongest aspects of B7 from a plot point of view - lose it and you can't get back to the ship, if someone else finds it, they can. Nifty percussion and cymbal type sound effect also. |

Ah, the elusive pink perspex!
Those teleport bracelets were such a simple design but so iconic. Wonderful photos, thank you so much for posting them. Cheers, Andy |

Once again, certainly Iconic, but I never could understand why they were almost single function. Communicator and enabled teleport pick-up. they could not be used as a locator beacon for the teleport, remote scan sensor for Zen, nor could they transmit biometric data on the wearer to show that they were unconsious and required retrieval.
Also why did the design or colour scheme not fit in with that of the Liberator, or at the very least that of the handguns? |

Yes, it's strange that the Federation guns and Liberator bracelets are the same colour!!
Well, I suppose you could just ... buy it off eBay!! The original fluorescent pink Perspex that was used would have been 1/4" thick (6mm), and this stuff is 5mm ... but hey, what's a millimetre between friends??!! I've ordered a bit already, just to see what it's like, and I'll put a photo up as soon as I receive it. |

The Perspex has arrived, it's definitely fluorescent pink, and it's definitely 5mm!! It looks a bit orange in the photos, but it isn't!! Phil |

For example, at the end of "Mission To Destiny" Sara removes her bracelet as everyone is teleported to safety - she remains behind despite being surrounded by others with bracelets. I need a teleporter bracelet ... so I can get out more!! |

But if they did have locator beacons in them, they must have all been broken by the start of season 3. Avon has to tell Zen to set the teleport for "Random Pick-up" when looking for crew members on different planets. If the locators were working, what is "Random Pick-up"?
The bracelet is part of the mechaism for teleportation, but there must be a requirement for an organic component too. Note that the bracelet does not teleport back to the Liberator on its own! |

I ordered some of that pink plastic too and it has now arrived. It is most unusual. If you hold it up and look through it, it is vivid pink, however, as soon as you put it on something (say, for example, a Liberator Teleport Bracelet), it turns orange!
