That is excellent, really nice work.
I never thought that I would see a kit that looked exactly like the studio model.

Hi Ed,
This kit has been mastered by an Emmy award winning special effects technician, he has extensively researched this project and spent several months constructing the masters.

I only want one model of Skydiver at this scale, it's this one.

Value is really subjective, I know I could not better this so to me it is worth every penny.

I have the Sky 1 kit section (and will be ordering the driver section), fanstactic kit, goes together as good as any Airfix kit, only down side is, I have to paint it (not my stronge point) and well worth the money.
Also see Sci.fi & fantasy modeller: volume 23

Thanks for the info all, I would love to see that SF&FM issue 23... u mention has anyone here got it ?
I have contacted the kit producer & have been sent some nice info by the kit producer with the instruction sheets, but the step by step build articles that SF&FM puts out are so great is that the type of article it is ? lots of photos ?
I have a old resin Sky 1 & Diver kit that looks kind of hard to build because the Sky 1 body is hollow and the wings have no indents or any marks to help locate the wings correctly.
The Cassini Designs kit shows on the instruction sheet that the body has a space for the wings & seem to have spots with location marks, That will make it less difficult to build.

The Cassini Kit (Sky 1) has a hollow cast resin/plastic body, the wings are solid, there is no clean up to do on the parts (just wash all parts before assembly).
The wings glue on to a space the correct size for them, just double check (dry fit), hard to explain unless you have the kit in front of you.
The only thing the instruction suggest is do not attach the engines/ missile pods if you are going to add the diver section, so you can make sure they line up correctly before gluing.
I think on this build the details are in the painting.

Default Cassini Models Skydiver kit review

If i may be so bold and kick this thread up to the top again.
I've just posted a four page review of the kit on my website. I've scribbled it out in as honest a way as I can but i'll freely admit I can only put it from my point of view.

In a broad nutshell, i've listed what I think is good and bad with 70 plus 1024 res pics.
That said, i'll freely admit that the good is about 95% of it in my possibly less than knowlegable opinion but make of it what one will, just hope it helps as I'm of the view that this rather impressive beastie needs a bit more exposure than it's currently getting.

Also it's not aimed at anyone/skill level in particular, just a general 'this is what I think/maybe do this and this' sort of deal.

Take care all!
