Hi Gang -
I've started down the long and winding road of building up my 22" Eagle. It's been a bumpy road so far as I've already managed to somehow lose the instructions and 2 parts! Luckily Ron from RTepicas Unlimited was kind enough to email me a set of instructions. As for the parts, I made a mold of one and am reproducing it in resin so it was just a nuisance. I'll see if I can attach some photos here.... OK, I guess I have to load the photos up somewhere and link to them. This will take a few minutes...... karl http://www.myspacemuseum.com/ |

One of the engine bells had a ding in it. As far as I can tell this was the only damaged part. Luckily it was bagged for shipment so I was able to recover the shard and glue it back into place.

This is a bit of a mystery. The instructions say there are supposed to be 4 indentical parts like the ones on the right, part E-7. However, there are 2 "male" parts, with cylindrical protrusions (top right) and 2 "female" parts without those protrusions (bottom right). I THINK I know how to proceed with this but if anyone has any insight into this, I'd be obliged to know it.

Here's the Command Modules. I've glued the 2 halves together, filled the seam and primed and sanded twice. Still needs a little more work.

I kept on plugging away at this bad boy for a while but I'm starting to feel like I'm on shaky ground as far as getting everything to fit together. So, I ordered a set of blueprints and I'm gonna hold off going any further until I get them. This is an expensive kit and I don't want to mess it up!

I'm on hiatus, waiting on the blueprints to arrive. But yesterday I glanced over at my workbench and immediately I thought "Man, you can really tell I got a BIG project going on!" So, I snapped a quick pic and here's what it looks like. FYI I've resized the pic so maybe it'll fit on your screens a little better.

Hi TRANSPORTER EAGLE
If you go too RU website and then push the short cut in the top called " Replicaīs Unlimited Resin kits ".. then you see Eagle 1, secondly a small picture of the LAP Eagle...finally the Hawk.. Hope it helps...
