Default The Iron Man

Here's a recent model I've made based on the Ted Hughes book The Iron Man I used an assortment of junk, cardboard, plastic etc... to make this figure. There's a vid I shot of it linked below.

Great model, Glazy. What sort of size it is? Love to hear some info on the painting process.

He's about 10 inches tall sat down. I painted him with gray primer first then sprayed him with a metallic car paint, once I'd weathered him down a bit with acrylics I dry brushed a lighter silver over him. I've attached some making of pics, the main boty is an E45 tub and the feet were made using some of my discarded inhalers.

Fantastic work Glazy ! "The Iron Man" has always been a project sitting in the back of my mind and your use of pharmaceutical cast-offs ( I'm diabetic and needle cases/covers/lancets pop up in a few of my builds !) is truly inspiring . I'm sat here with a daft grin on my ugly mug . Well done .

Cheers !! That's the fun part of real world modelling over the CG modelling I've done, finding interesting parts to use !!
