Default 16" S.I.D.

I see that Monsters in Motion have announced a 16" S.I.D. from UNCL, in development by WARP (I didn't know that they were the same company):

http://www.monstersinmotion.com/cart...bby-kit-p-6459

But I also can't find any information on this anywhere else.

The UNCL kit has been available for a number of years. `I have had one under construction for the last year. I must get it finished! Don't know what the connection to Warp is though.

Hi Guys,

Let's knock this on the head......I can categorically confirm that Warp are in no way involved with this project.

Cheers......

So, it is more or less safe to say then, that this is a stand alone SID model developed by MIM?

No it's made by UNCL (who's a member here) and the kit has been around for a few years, there is a UNCL SID kit on E-bay at the moment.

MIM sell UNCL kits or have done in the past.

Maybe Unclebill's on holiday. I PM'd him and had no reply.

And going by the wording in Monsters in Motion's advert, they're mis-representing, unless the WARP mentioned in the advert is A.N.Other WARP.

I am working on one of those UNCL kits now in my personal stash. It's been available for some time.

I suggest that MIM have taken a page template for their website and edited it to advertise this kit, but have forgotten to take down the reference to Warp.

I look forward to being able to enjoy one.

Does anyone know Unclebill on a personal basis?

Trouble is that once I get an idea in my head, I have little patience and can't wait.

With MiM it might mean they are producing the kit themselves.

Finally, the penny drops!!!...............

Warp is a UK based business.
Warp has not had any direct dealings (or intended dealings) with the afforementioned party.
And for the detectives amongst you.....The only Warp models supplied in white boxes are it's small Space 1999 kits, anything larger, even Eagles are supplied in brown LABELLED boxes and INCLUDE instructions.
NONE of Warp's larger kits are cast in white resin, Warp uses beige and/or grey resin.

Without prejudice.

Cheers,Warp Models.

Bill has current items on ebay and as far as i know he had a recent injury, which looked quite nasty,so hes maybe taking it easy till things heal up.
I ordered an item from him last week, but its not here so far,but looking at the injury i can understand why.
The SID kit is also on the Comet site, thats where i got mine,it comes with a CD showing images of the construction.

Mr Warp,a quick question,do you do the Space 1999 launch pad,or is that an exclusive item only sold through a UK Sci Fi shop?

in recent times i have seen 1 or 2 on ebay

just curious
