Default UNCL's Thunderbirds Elevator Car kit

Hi All

Long time reader, first time poster here.
Forgive me if this is in the wrong place

It's about time I stopped just reading and started posting and modeling.
I'm wondering if anyone can help me. As it's coming up to Christmas I thought I would get a Thundrbirds model Kit. i have only seen a few pictures of it but The elevator car Kit by Uncle Bill looks like just the ticket for me.

I'm just after any picture of it from guys that have built it and any opinions of it.

Thanks all, hope to get this build here under way soon.

Hi

The UNCL Elevator Car is a superb model as are all of Bill's creations.

Here's a photo of the one I built many moons ago when the model first came out.

That's the baby I'm after ! Thats amazing work there, she looks stunning.
What's it like as a kit ? Have you got any extras on her or is that a kit bash ?
Thanks buddy

Hi Theo

I built the kit straight from the box with one small exception. The cabin comes as both a clear vac-form piece or a solid resin piece. I chose to use the clear vac-form canopy and scratch built an interior for it, which is not really noticeable in the photograph. If I recall correctly I think it scales out at approximately 1:72 scale.

All the best

I am so impressed with your elevator car kit I decided to buy one for my self, unfortunately they are out of stock at the moment so I have to wait.
I was thinking of scratchbuilding this vehicle but I could not track down any of the shiny chrome parts you need.
This is one of my favourite vehicles as it looks so huge and powerful the way it drove out of the pod. Fantastic.

Mike Delamar ID'd the parts.

a quick search reveals that this is quite rare, however, it has been re- released twice and included with other old engines in these 2 kits which should be easy and cheap enough to get hold of easily.
