Default Look At This Great Magazine Art From 1975

This is the cover art for a british magazine from the 70s called Look IN. The painting is by a guy named Arnaldo Putzu who also did movie posters from that time as well.

Yes, he was a very gifted artist who sadly passed away late last year.

He painted lots of 1970's movie posters as well as numerous covers for "Look In" including several on Space 1999.

I'm lucky to have his original art for this cover.

I believe there is still a Look-in archive someplace, and/or one specific to Gerry Anderson-related stuff including S99, but I don't have the link handy (I'm in the process of updating everything I lost on my old computer). If the site's out there, a quick search should locate it...

EDITED TO ADD: Well, that was easy: http://www.technodelic.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Links.htm
Select Space: 1999 from the sidebar.

I don't know how many covers he did for "Look in" but it was several dozen.
They either depicted a TV show that had a comic strip in the magazine or a pop band of the time that were featured in an article that issue.
His movie poster work ranged from the iconic "Get Carter" to the "Carry on..." movies.
If you do a Google image search on his name you'll see a wide selection of his work.

Yes i found a lot of his stuff on the net, he had a very specific look that i always associate with the late 60s and early 70s, especialy his use or bright colors. Yeah the 70s was a very colorful time.
