Yep, I copied the same style Derri Boots as clanger68.

I've found quite a few references for the badge. I'm a graphic designer so it wasn't hard to replicate. The main thing is simulating the glossy patch look.

Good, because I need to buy about 3 pairs. Also, I'm working on a mould from the original mask....

Yes, I would love to know your source of the Derri boots too. I have been trying to find a pair ("Standard" or "Guy") without success for over a year now. For some reason I only see size UK 3 for sale!

The Derri boots were a 'lucky' ebay find.

I kept watching for months, without any luck. Eventually a pair were listed, but they were over priced for a 'cheap' set of wellies. I bought them anyway.

Outstanding, great costume, congratulations.

You do the menacing pose very well.

I wouldn't worry about it bunching up, they do, use the belts to get a body shape you are happy with.

You don't want it fitting too snugly.

I hope we can all get together some time for a group photo, it would be fantastic.

Cheers,

Andy

I couldn't live with my rings being 9mm too wide, so I wasted half my Sunday thinning them down. They're a bit rougher now, but I think the proportions are better?

That's turned out very well! Nice work. Looks even better with the thinner rings.

BTW, did you use that plastic "fake water" sheet for the pattern on the outer ring?

Cheers.

Yes I did. I simply glued it to some thicker acrylic. It has clouded where it was glued, but looks okay.

I've already posted this in another thread, but simply to complete the project.

It's finished. I'll upgrade the blaster with a strap, but that's about it.

A big thanks to members of 'Eagle Transporter' for all their help especially all the great reference photos!

Looks brilliant, my helmet is coming on slowly, the water effect sheets arrived so just ordered some clear double sided A4 sheets, so hope it will stick them to the clear rings.
Still looking for the visor material, tried green window tint but not impressed, and finding anything thin enough to bend to fit is a nightmare.....

Try searching eBay for "filter lighting gel", it's flexible and available in a wide range of colours. That'll do it!
