Looks god so far, can I ask how you intend to fly it. Will it be an R.C. glider or just a "throw it and see" or do you intend to power it some how ?

Default Keep y-orion this one.....

Oh my goodness, look at this! I had the Airfix version all those years ago, basic build and hastily painted, but this is different class altogether! If you're going to build a classic ship, why not go for the biggest one possible? That's a lovely touch regarding the choice of name as well.

Please keep us posted with more pictures so we can gaze lovingly at this beautiful ship,

Kindest regards

Patrick

Default 2001 Orion shuttle has flown!

http://youtu.be/_zVWwGlD9VA

Yesterday I maidened the Pan American Orion shuttle from 2001 a space oddessy.

I had two short flights with my scratchbuilt RC Orion.. . She landed hard on the second flight. . . Damage was very minor.

She's in the Panam repair depot as we speak!

In some cases the bigger the model is the more stable it is in the air. . . .sadly that isn't the case for this Orion. . ..she's very unstable in flight.. . . .But that was expected, and I'm going to get her flying properly. . . . That's a promise!

Thankyou Slate!
