Default Some of my Scratchbuilds

I've been trying to get good photos of some of my scratchbuilds, but it is not easy. I need a good sky (this one is cloth but needs improving), anyway, this is what I've done so far.

Nice work!
Your construction and finishing is excellent.
Don't worry about the background; it's what's in front that counts!

Default The sky's (not) the limit.....

.....and these are all scratchbuilds, you say?

You're far too hard on yourself - this is lovely work all round!

Thanks for taking the time to set up the photos, and for letting us see them.

Kindest regards

Patrick

Default Blue Skies (And More!), From Now On...

Excellent they are, indeed - all are works to be proud of!

Images from various GA series are popping up here on the Forum from time to time (eg, just saw some wonderful Marineville pics!), and just chockfull of sky/clouds possibilities that might be emulated...your own are bound to come right along!

Thanks people, I appreciate the comments. I think I'm going to have to paint my own sky in the end.
I've no plans to make an RTL2, but things change!

I've had another go at photographing these models, I'm happier with these.

Default Well done Kevin!

Yet more excellent shots from the master - truly an example of blue sky thinking.

Those sky scenes work really well. They are fantastic models in themselves but photographed in their natural environment of a mini stage set works so very well. You have really perfected authentic finishing for the subjects too which becomes easy to see with authentic backgrounds. Well worth the time and effort put in.

They really are stunning images, the re-shot TB1 images I would have mistaken for either screen shots or promotional stills from the day.

I think so too: your paint jobs seem to capture the metallic feel of the originals.

It's that finish that makes them so convincing.

Default Count me in....

I agree with fellow correspondents - some of your best work yet Kevin, in terms of both the subject herself and the settings in which you've placed her. Exceptional work.

Kindest regards
