Default My Martian Fighting Machine.

I joined this forum after looking into buying Thunderbirds puppets and deciding to make my own instead. But in the time I've been on here I've been very impressed with the models you folks make, and so I decided to have a go myself.

I've always wanted a Martian Fighting Machine from WoTW, but the kits that have been created are always a little on the small side for me. So I've built this from scratch using techniques I've read about on the forum.

This is my first time scratch model building, so don't be too harsh. Plenty of wonky bits, I know.

I planned for 1.2 metres tall.

Slartibartfast was proud of his fjords. I'm proud of my feet.

I'll spare you the gory details of how I fumbled through making it. Result:

I can live with that, until I summon up the enthusiasm to attempt Version 2.0. I still need to glue on some fiddly bits and put the lights in (there's a flap at the back for access - held on with magnets).

Default Tremendous scratchbuild, Faceache!!

Magnificent, just magnificent. One you can revisit in the future for lighting and so on but, in the meantime, what a first attempt!!

Kindest regards

Patrick
