Default Annular Solar Eclipse! 29Apr2014

Heads up, my Australian friends: if everything turns out just right, you should be able to see Tuesday's annular solar eclipse in progress; see the map below:

http://www.space.com/25610-annular-s...14-images.html

We had one of these here in CA some 20-plus years ago; Moon just too far away to completely block out the Sun, so no solar corona (drat!), only a thin "ring of fire" (or annulus) - still, quite a show!

If you do get a look (and remember, never look directly at the Sun - take proper precautions!), pls let us know...
