Default Orac's Relay

Hi guys,

I made a replica Orac years ago, and I decided I wanted a few add ons.
So I went for the short range relay from the season 4 episode Orbit.
I've got some of the correct colour Perspex, so just went for it...
It only took about 2 days, but was very pleased with it !!!
The one pain was drilling lots of tiny holes into 4 strips of 6mm Perspex for all the wires.
Lots of tape and a few bits of old RS, and there you go.
One thing Im not going to do though is drill a big hole in my Orac for wires to go in...
If you look at Mat's it has a nasty hole in the front.

Looks awesome, detail is fantastic.

I'm going to build a replica Orac one day, but I have no idea where to start though - apart from needing lots of Perspex!

Thanks Waran,
I really enjoyed doing it, a nice quick satisfying build.

For me , the problem would be the electronics. Making a static model would be easy...but it wouldn't be ORAC without the chasing lights. That's why I keep begging people here who have that skill set and have made one...I'd pay a pretty penny for one that worked.

I'm with you Ham Salad. Orac is just a fantastic design (I love the S4 version, rather than the ones with all the vacuum cleaner piping), and I would love to have a full scale replica with working switch, chasing lights and (hopefully) irritated bee sound. Waran's work on the Liberator handguns speaks for itself. I'm sure he'd make a great Orac build.
