Welcome back Ken.

Simon Atkinson who built the original models for the BBC is a member here. I can't wait to see you tackle this model it's right up your street.

Nice work - reminds me, I must finish mine too!
Though I was using the Horizon plans and realised too late that they aren't 100% accurate. Oh well.

I can't wait to see this finished, Ken.
Wonderful work.
How are you going to address the nomenclature?
I *think* it was a rub down transfer, obviously very distinct and of the time?

What a great model, well done. I have a bit of a strange question revolving around a story idea im working on. If you were going to weaponise the London as a troop carrier where would you place the offensive weaponary

Turrets on each of the top towers, fixed mounts in the front wings, belly turret. Possibly side mounts too, depending on what level of protection you are going for.

Basically, take a look at the gun emplacements on a Flying fortress from WW2 and adjust a little for the shape of the London.

But as either a bomber or a troop carrier, weaponry would be defensive, not offensive. It would be there to protect the ship from fighters trying to stop it from reaching the target, not for use directly on the target. Having said that, wing mounts and belly turrets could be used to keep the enemiy's heads down whilst you delivered the payload from the air, and if landing then the side mounts and top turrets could join in too. From that high up, the top turrets would have quite a field of view.
