Default Saw the 1st Thunderbirds ad last night.

On Challenge tv channel. Started off in space then swept to the right past planet Earth to a white space station and a mayday message [ if I remember correctly ].

Plus a fairly prominent [ unfortunately ] CITV logo.

Default Something Is Out There...

The Gerry Anderson website has a link to it also; just click on the picture...

Only about 20 seconds or so; essentially an homage to the original TB5, while giving us our best view so far of the new incarnation (feeling a little better about it too, BTW)...

It appearred several times on ITV this week, during the 2-part Harry Potter films.
I was totally underwelmed by it. A lazy camera pan over a poor looking Earth over a naff looking stafield with a not very good looking shot of the spacestation. Boring!!
If thats the best they can do then the series is in trouble, it wasn't exciting, it wasn't interesting, it wasn't remotely impressive - surely they should have hit the audience with somesort of amazing visual treat to grab the viewers attention and make them jump out of their seat in shock with the thought that there was a big new series coming, not something that would have sent the average kid to sleep!

Yeah, have to agree with David, total non-event as an 'excitement builder' it was only by chance I heard the 'calling international rescue' bit as I was getting up to put the kettle on!

Funny, about thirty years ago, I remember seeing a 'similar' trailer for a new Gerry Anderson tv show called Terrahawks, which showed earth, then panned away into space to show Spacehawk! And although I was somewhat disappointed in the actual show when it aired, The trailer was WAY COOLER than this and set my pulse racing with expectation Oh and that trailer probably cost a fraction of this new one!

I suppose it's a teaser and they'll show more as time goes on. It looks like it's being done a bit mysteriously so people will ask "what's that all about then?"
