Default Build up competition?

Hi Guys,

Who would in theory be interested in taking part in a new build competition? If there's enough interest we have a couple of ideas for theme.

Please post if you are interested.

Chris

Default Interested but cautious......

.....sorry for late response, been really busy recently. I've enjoyed looking at the other threads where the floor's been thrown open for members to "do their own thing". As a modeller of limited talents and resources, it would be interesting to get involved in something new - don't make the timescale too short though!

Thanks for taking the time to suggest a new competition - hope you get some more responses.

A construction / rescue / disaster diorama - a new section of Alpha being built, with support vehicles / craft around it, or a typical Thunderbirds rescue mission?

An earlier prototype of what would become an iconic Anderson vehicle - plenty of retrofitting opportunities there?

Anyway, thanks again and kindest regards

Patrick

One idea ive discussed with the mod team is "Design a new vehicle for the Thunderbirds return" would that be of interest to everyone?

as for time scale, I tihnk we allowed 3 months last time, with the entrants doing a mini build thread throughout the comp

Great idea, I can't remember the last time we had a build up comp, but it was a while ago. I like the Thunderbirds idea as well !

Perhaps entrants could design a new rescue vehicle !

So a new vehicle for thunderbirds isnt original but one for Space 1999 or UFO is?

Default Another Sector Heard From...

As an interested observer to this discussion, I'm wondering if Patrick may have come nearest the mark here...

Rather than "or," how about "and" - that is, why not have two classes of competition? Each would offer elbowroom aplenty for original thinking and ideas, and of course thrilling follow-through!

So, what sayeth the house?

I would be happy to have 2 classes if we have enough interest in them
