Default Interceptor on ebay!!!

Check out this currently advertised on ebay. Described as a 'professionally built well-made' model of the interceptor from UFO!
Whoever made this, or is selling it, obviously hasn't seen the show in a while or they need their television set adjusting, as the word hideous doesn't come close to describing this weird looking thing.

Wow!
On a hideous scale of 1 - 10, it's a 10.
As a professional modelmaker myself I'd be more than a little embarresed if I'd made that!!
On the positive side his shed in the background looks very nice.

I dunno.

Must be me; I wouldn't say hideous as such - a naive interpretation of a classic perhaps?

Oh dear, people just don't look properly when making a "replica", what's the point of making something so way off the mark, I'll never get it..

I was thinking the same thing! With a different paint job and lots of rivets, it would make a great steampunk Interceptor. He'd probably get more for it too.

I personally wouldn't criticise him on the basis of accuracy, as he's clearly gone for his own interpretation. As Dazzo said, it's verging on steampunk rather than any attempt at a screen-accurate replica.

I reckon it looks kind of cool. Obviously not screen accurate, but a lot of work and artistic flare went into it that captures the essence of the interceptor ......would look cool with some diorama setting.
