Default 1:48 Styrene Eagle kit.

Just a possibility, exciting news if true.

Press release at Wonderfest 30th May.
I wouldn't want to take a bet on it not happening.
Once Jamie has a bee in his bonnet, it's going to happen.
Who would have thought we would have a hyper accurate 1/350th TV Enterprise only 6 years ago?

Come on Fallingstar, ye have little faith! The 99 gods have willed it so! Keep your eyes peeled and watch this FB page during Wonderfest. Yours truly will be there ready to get the news if announced!

Let's hope so. There 'appears' to be some sort of goings on from what I've read but I don't want to jump the gun. It wouldn't be the first time people have jumped to conclusions too quickly.

Many, many years ago at a model fair, I spoke to a gentleman and he was very enthusiastic about this.
He had the knowledge and resources (to a degree) to certainly contribute his wealth of passion and understanding of the process to make this happen in plastic.
If (and it's a big if) he is involved with this undertaking - then for me and for many others here that don't have the space for a 44" bird, this will be the ultimate and last say in Eagle kits.
I'm crossing everything I have that this will be what I've waited for since I had a dream as a kid that Airfix issued a 1:48 scale kit - similar to the large scale Spitfire and Hurricane kits back in the 70s.

Without details I guess a lot of us will wait - no point in ordering a scaled up MPC kit, if this is what it is?
I guess not - but guessing, just as assumption, has landed many a man in deep water, and out of pocket.
I'll wait and see if my dream matches the product before I lay down cash.
And by that I don't expect the product to be 100% my dream. As long as it's close enough for me to achieve my dream with a bit of tweaking, then yes, I'll buy at least 4.
It's a safe bet to wait - as undoubtedly many third party suppliers will produce components / decals for us anal obsessives to reach our ultimate goal.

If they are doing this it's not an upscale. This is going to be the next best thing than peanut butter. It's going to be done right. Trust me! If you aren't a hundred percent happy I'll buy it from you.

There are hints and rumors that an announcement will be made at Wonderfest which is on May 30 and 31. I think we'll know pretty soon! If true, I'll probably buy at least a half dozen myself!

Guys, it's not rocket science! It is true and the hobby sites are pre-ordering which is one of two things, they want to get an idea of how many to order or and this one makes more sense, Round2 is testing the market. So for $82 I'm sure we can't go wrong. The price will go up soon after an announcement! I would bet the already have hundreds of pre-orders, judging from my Facebook group (Space: 1999 1/48 Scale Modeler Collection Group) and other sites and that most of them have ordered more than 1 or two kits. $120 retail price and more when supplies run low! If it's 50% more accurate and I feel it will be more close to 95%, it's gonna be fantastic! Round2 knows this is a lifetime achievement to make this kit, do you really think they would half azz it? Support the 1/48 eagle and pre-order today, or wait until later and watch the build up threads on the forums and Facebook while you wait for your kit! I will be at WonderFest for any announcement made, if so I'll post it like the plague and you will know everything! I wouldn't wait, no charge until shipping it's a no brainer!

I hope the cockpit is detailed with consoles and seats. An Alan Carter figure would be great too.
