Default What Forza27 just said.....

This is almost too good to be true and, if it really is happening, I would also like to find out who's importing this "mythical creature". Thanks to all who've made all of this information public, and kept the rest of us up to date - much appreciated.

It seems hard to believe that, a full forty years after the Eagle first appeared, the first styrene kit of a 22" should appear - but we'll take it while it's going!!

Kindest regards

Patrick

The shipping to the UK and other countries will all be worked out. Your best bet is to see if your local hobby shop will be stocking it. I'll keep you updated on this.

Patrick, it's happening! I spent two days with Round2 and it's official.

Why do you have two threads for the same subject?

Looks awesome.
The detail is astonishing; can't wait for it's release.

A post in the Space: 1999 Facebook group says this will sell for "about $85 (more or less)". If this turns out to be right, I'd think this would be the cheapest option for building (what looks to be) an accurate 22" Eagle today.

Just take a look at the walkway details. Exactly the same as the 44" Eagle 1 model - the kit parts used on that original have been scaled down for this kit.
Astonishing.

I saw this in person and was blown away at the accuracy. They've really done their homework on this one. We should all be thankful that Chris Trice and Jim Small were involved because their expertise has made this possible. Can't wait to get my case.

The kit is going to retail for about $115. Pre-order sales are around the $81 mark, so a nice little markdown. Once the kit is released expect the price to go up. No price yet on the aluminum accessory pack (engine bells, oleos, etc.) or when it will be available. The Eagle is said to be coming before the end of the year.

Default Keeping an ear to the ground....

I e-mailed a local model shop in the Central Belt today, asking if they could assist with the 22" Round 2 Eagle in the UK. I got a very courteous and swift response from the proprietor, stating that he currently imports Round 2 kits directly from the States, that he would contact the supplier, and that he would keep me posted.

Appreciate a lot of you will all be doing the same thing with your own contacts, but this is a new departure for me, and it's very exciting!

Kindest regards

I poked around and found two online stores doing pre-orders for $82 to $85 USD both with about $10 standard shipping costs (to a US postal address).
