Any idea when the 22" replica goes in sale in the UK?

Anybody taking orders now?

All the prices I've seen from dealers in the UK have been rip-off level prices, eg 120 level . I've got one on pre-order from Hobbylinc for $82 (about 53) so even with extra postage and the Post Office/HMRC on top of that it will still be massively cheaper. Don't fall for the rip-off!

I reckon you have because I sincerely doubt the import duty (if it is picke up on) plus postage will end up at 56

...the 22" Eagle is going for $140CDN, so whatever that is in Sterling will give you an idea of WHO is charging WHAT for this thing...! This is my first venture into the "Eagle" universe as I am mostly a MotoGp, WWII warbird, armor guy, but the kit size, metal bells and the fact this is a series I watched as a kid, told me I should get stuck in...!!!

Cheers chaps,
Laurie in Winterpeg..at -28C as we speak...a bit chilly...

oldcopierguy, sorry to break it to you, but the kit does not include metal engine bells. The ones included with the kit are ABS plastic like the rest of the model. The aluminum engine bells will be available as an aftermarket set, but most modelers will be fine with a simulated painted metal finish.

It's a styrene kit isn't it? Not ABS.

Yes its styrene. The metal engine bells cost as much as the kit and I don't reckon they will add that much to the model, especially at that cost! I've got Alcad paints that can do a superb rendition of metal on a plastic kit as shown below which is ALL plastic

I stand corrected-- styrene, not ABS.

Oh for sure, I was aware of that. I just worded it in the same sentence. I already have the Metal Bells in the mail...the Eagle is not far behind. Besides, I tend to overdo some of my models, hey just because I can...why not...it's only money, and I ain't leavin ANY of it behind when I go...!

Cheers,
Laurie
