Default General question re surviving s1999 onscreen models

I'm re-watching s1999 S1 on bluray now, and had forgotten just how many models there were onscreen. Having just watched War Games last night, I noticed the "bomber" was recycled from Alpha Child and even shows up in later shows IIRC. And those Hawks, I want one NOW.

Anyway this got me thinking, is there a list of all the surviving models used in s1999? That is, who owns them now, which were lost, destroyed, MIA, their conditions, etc? I'm just curious.

BTW if this is in the wrong forum, please move it accordingly. Thanks.

Hi

Most of the models used in Space 1999 survived after filming wrapped. Thanks, mainly to Gerry Anderson putting them in an exhibition at Blackpool, a seaside resort in North West England (UK) They were then moved a couple of times to other exhibitions until the late eighties. When the entire exhibition was bought by super fan and Anderson collector Philip Rae. Phil slowly sold off and swapped his collection over the next twenty years or so and now most of the original props models are in the hands of several private collectors. Myself, I used to own several of the original models/props but sadly these too were lost or sold on many years ago......
The good new is, the original are still exhibited from time to time in the UK, at conventions etc, search the web for pics from..
Fanderson conventions
Andercon conventions
Also check out 'David Sisson's models website (he owns the original eagle 1 model and original space suit as well as may other fab models.

Hope this helps,
Wayne

Thanks for the info and links.

I just finished season 1 and started season2. I was amused to see (almost) every alien model ship built (as derelicts) in Dragons Domain and again in Metamorph. It brought home how many unique models were made for the episodes.
