Default Laboratory pod info..

Hi fellas, do you know if there is a 1/48 resin conversion for the lab pod ?? i've seen on the net some resin conversions ( like the laser gun and the arm)but none of it....or some good drawings of it ,i can scratchbuild it!!!

No, no one has made a 1/48 scale version as yet because the concencus is that Round 2 will be doing so in some future release (though that has never been confirmed). You can get 3D printed parts for it on Shapeways in that scale but it works out very expensive doing it that way.

so,let's hope to see a round 2 lab eagle!!!( will cost less than shapeways 3d parts...in my opinion)
So if i'm in hurry scratchbuild is the only option...

I have seen a few great scratch-builds of the Lab Pod and the cargo pod. A lot of work in the detail though, all that panelling detail on the lab pod especially.

I am hoping Round 2 will release the alternate pods as separate kits (probably following a 'special edition' kit with the entire Eagle. I am not about to buy a second Eagle, nor do I have room to display it. I would like to have some extra pods of different types to switch out in my display though.

So do you think that a lab pod eagle will be produced or is just a hope??
Better to wait ot start a scratch..this is the question!! :-) :-) :-)

PS:due to Murphy's law surely the moment i start to scratch the lab module a plastic kit will be produced!!

Ha ha ha, I am familar with that! No sooner had I completed my conversion of the movie enterprise into the Reliant, when AMT announced the release of the Reliant kit! Grrrr

so,as soon the kit arrive i'll start a lab pod scratch..if a resin conversion or a plastic kit follow you know who to thanks!! :-) :-) :-)
