If anyone's interested: Here's the link for the 144/scale Thunderbirds toys that were made by Takara on the revised TakaraTomy website.
http://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products...ies/index.html Nice animation too... GW

I still live in hope. I reckon Tomy know exactly what they've got in their vaults & given the popularity of this set, there must be a chance of a re-release. Got to be just a matter of when the next Thunderbirds revival starts eh!? |

I know that Takara was going to go on with the line and add the vehicles that we did not have, an RC Firefly was planned but after Tomy bought Takara it all came to an end.

All this talk about this model has reminded me of something.
Supplied with the model is a sheet of "stickers". From memory they are not decals. Now I decided not to "detail" TB2 with these adornements as I felt they would not stand the test of time and that the model was not suitable for sealing and such. Have any other owners used their stickers? |

Mine were decals - and yes I did use them...

However it is safely hanging up on display in my model room, so it doesn't get handled much to cause damage.

Guys,
I am also no big TB fan, but this "toy" looks much better than the green banana. Cheers Oliver (senmen) |

Hard to get now, and not cheap. Even the Aoshima 1:200 diecast ones are expensive. Around £200 depending on the seller. So about all you can do is trawl ebay and compare the prices.

I got given one of these by a man I'd never before in a restaurant in Japan, along with a couple of Fireflash model kits. I didn't even know it existed. It's absolutely gorgeous - I can't believe my luck! All Anderson fans should move to Japan!

hi,always enjoy the site. the rechargeable component batteries that power the takara 1/144 scale mole and recovery vehicle are slowly corroding and i wondered if anyone out there has had a similar problem or better still an idea where to buy new ones from;seems a shame never to see them drive out of tb2,all the best ian.
