Default Tracy Island Villa

Hi
Im working on a CG model of the Tracy island Villa and pool area, i was wondering if anyone had any HD screen grabs. No need to got to any trouble, just if anyone has any handy. Trying to see how much realism i can put into this one.

Cheers

I have some images but sadly not in HD Chris. I do have scans from the Graham Bleathman cross sections book though, that may help you with the layout of the island in general. Let me know if you require them.

Well anything would be very much appreciated , i do have the book already. Its for the new TB1 launch so it needs to work from several angles, so i can imagine some artistic licensee may be required.

Email sent Chris but its image heavy. If the mail server kicks it back I'll zip them up into an archive.

Default Did someone say HD images?

Hi Chris,

Thanks to Adama, it is my pleasure to post these.

I'll post every different shot from each episode eventually as I work my way through the episodes. Not sure if you wanted the Round House so included just one.

ChrisofEDF - this 3d image is in one of the Thunderbird 3 threads. Looks convincing. I'm still trying to find out where I can buy a large print of that.

Havn't got your email yet Slate, it might have bounced back.

Cheers for the grabs Captain They'l be a huge help. And that image of TB3 is class. the round house wont be needed this time around. Anything of the cliff house may also be helpful as well.

Here is what i have so far, fixing the scale of everything is tricky for some reason all the steps on the original model are twice as big as the should be.

Hi Chris,

You'll have real problems trying to fix a scale to real world objects, I would draw what you see then post for advise, once the critics have had their say trim, modify and otherwise compromise as you need to.

The swimming pool steps might be a statement of luxury in an over the top way?

Everything you have done so far looks good.

Scale figures to try to establish proportion (should be interesting results)

Cool thats what ill do and cheers for the new screen grabs, the pool side house will be tricky as the puppet set shows it right over the pool, however it cant be there when TB1 launches.

Ive been getting the layout sorted trees rocks etc before i work on the little details. Here is the product of last night

just going back to the actual studio model, I wonder in the close up shot captain scifi did, the lower stonework looks like the plastic bases for the faller kits, such as the round restaurant, can tell it looks like a plastic sheet rather than scribed by the corner edge.

also note the roundhouse in the uninvited, as tb3 lands you can see the smoke emerge from the right, basically from under the baseboard

Beautiful work so far Chris, on a light note though as an ex Lifeguard I wouldn't advise anyone to dive from that board into that pool, not quite deep enough

Looks like this model is different in almost every single shot. The dimensions are different the pool house changes orientation, the mountain changes and the diving board keeps shifting around, not to mention the moveable chimney.

The product of tonights work, needs a lot of tidying and better weather. Trying to figure out why the railngs look fuzzy. Note the Background is also temporary.

Lowered the pool too Knight1966 id did look like a toddlers paddle pool.

ChrisofEDF - The tiled paving textures are very noticeable. I suppose you will add some atmosphere to the image so that a sense of depth is achieved?
