i just voted that i have one eagle, but technically i have one and a half! i have a warp lab pod to build, and i intend to get the freighter pod, although i could probably pick up a p/e freighter eagle for not much more, and the rescue eagle is the sexiest looking eagle........looks like i need a part time job!

I have one P/E (lab), 2 in transit from comet (med + transport), 5 built fundimensions (all soon to be reworked) 1 airfix also to be redone and 3 amt ertl in box. Hopes are to have all worked up and in a hangar bay by summer
I also bought two konami eagles, two hawks and sid, all to go on my N-scale trainboard, which is 50's era, so it'll become a time warp scene

I currently have 5 at the moment, but plan to extend that by at least two more and the 23 incher as well.

Chris,
NICE LITTLE ARMADA
I might pick up the silver and gold, but not until I get quite a few more realistic ones and would eventually like to try the warp kits.

Wow, and I thought I was a bit too preoccupied with Eagles. Apparently I'm an amateur.

1 - PE Transporter Eagle
1 - AMT Transporter Eagle, heavily modified
1 - AMT Eagle even more heavily modified, scratch built all of superstructure except spine, rebuilt engine structure, rebuilt and resin cast VTOL thrusters, etc.
1 - Lab pod modification of standard AMT pod
1 - Cargo Pallet pod

2 - Konami Eagles - Transporter and Rescue
1 - 3" Diecast Eagle, heavily modified, used as starting point for a scratch built launch pad diorama

And yeah... a few more AMT Eagles in the box, all trembling in fear having watched the carnage I visited upon their brethren with Dremel and razor saw.

I own three PE eagles - regular transporter pod plus lab and freighter. I'm enhancing my lab pod with one of James Small's spine booster kits.

I also have three Airfix/MPC Eagles (two unbuilt), a Comet Miniatures Airfix recast (unbuilt), three Konami Eagles (two with rescue pods), three Dinky Eagles (one green Transporter and two freighters, one white, one blue; all of which I've had since I was a little kid), an Airfix Hawk that I built when I was a kid, a Konami Hawk and a whole bunch of titchy eagles from the Moonbase Alpha MPC kit. And, on order: the 23" Signature Edition from PE...

Oh, I love these things...

I've also got Jim Small's reworking of the Alpha kit which I'm soon to get a lighted box frame built for so that I can hang it on the wall, so it will be seen complete with loooong moon shadows!

My cousin also just the other day bought me two smashed up old Dinky Eagles that he found in a car boot sale. He knows I love these damn things. They're in a terrible state of repair, but there are enough parts here to restore a WHOLE Dinky Eagle, which I'm going to do next year. I have a mind to do an "ultimate" Dinky Eagle. Rather than just restoring the toy to as it was, I thought I might try and make a version which would be the one I wished I'd had as a kid! Well, that would really be the PE Eagle, of course, but I like the idea of doing an ultra-cool Dinky-sized one and giving these old toys a new lease of life.

It all starts innocentlly enough, one Eagle how can that hurt anything, how many people on here have thought this.....

Mmmmm I think that I will buy myself a nice Eagle collectable model, oohh those PE Eagles look nice, I do not have to build it or spend too much of my time accurising it, in fact when you look at it, they are very reasonably priced too, sorted I will get one of them. What do you mean they do four varients of the Eagle, well OK then, I could stretch to that as it still is a reasonabe priced, and I have seen them on Ebay going for a nice price, and they will not take up too much space.....

And at that point, oh boy at that point you are hooked, how many Eagles later, how much space gones, how much money spent, then your talking about buying more models to convert or adapt, and start looking at other less reasonably priced Eagle kits or collectables.

Then when you think that you have it under control, some barmey so and so goes and creates a place to feed your addiction daily or hourly in some cases.

Oh yes it all starts innocently enough all right. Me I can take it or leave it to be honest.............

I treat it as a 'support group' to help with my addiction...it helps to get my thoughts and feelings out in the open - it helps...

And not to be ridiculed like the missus does

The 23" PE model is still sitting in its case on the coffee table in the lounge...after the initial roll of the eyeballs, and refusal to 'hold' it to examine what I'd bought (exclaiming it's another waste of money !) I believe she's come to accept it for now...but no doubt I shall be forced to take it upstairs to my model room before the end of the weekend...

Other eagles:

1 Airfix eagle

My 16-year old son is an eagle-fan too and has 3 PE-eagles:

Go on buy a 23 inch Eagle, you know you really want to get one......

I had some serious moving around to do in my cabinets this weekend, so that my 23 incher can go on display.

I cannot wait for tomorrow when the package arrives from Comet, and the wife lays her beady eyes on it, oh wait I lie, I can wait.

You'll be 'flying' it around the room I suspect - much as I did

I'm sitting here looking at it, thinking of all the things I want to do to make it more accurate, but until I can figure out how some things actually come apart, I can't bring myself to begin the process.

It looks so good it it's case I don't want to 'ruin' it...yet

Started way back in the 70s...

1 x Airfix (since crashed and burned - I was young)
1 x Dinky (won a prize from a Look-In tie-in for it's first Space: 1999 strip...I was so chuffed, but no idea where it is now)

1 x AMT reissue (unbuilt)
1 x Warp Eagle (unbuilt)
1 x Konami Rescue
1 x Konami Standard

1 x PE Eagle
1 x PE Rescue
1 x PE Laboratory
1 x PE Freighter
1 x PE 23 inch Eagle (coming)

1 x AB 22 inch (partial build)
1 x AB 44 inch (unbuilt cos where would I put it!?)

When will it stop?
