Default A&E's NEW Space:1999 Megaset 30th Anniversary Edition

Hey gang,
Anyone know if this new set will be like the special edition release from Network?

I'd hoped so, but the description makes no mention of the Network release, nor any adjectives to make me think this. AND I would expect the price to go way up, not down, if the Network prints were included. The advantage of this release seems to be price and smaller packaging. That case looks a whole lot smaller than what I have sitting on my shelf!!

Probably uses those thinner dvd cases. Wow, what a savings! (And why the Season 2 pics on the box? And did I simply miss it, but no "Message from Moonbase Alpha"?)

I like the compact format, however, I've already bought the big size AE megaset. And I had to buy the bonus disc separately anyway, as it was not included on my edition.

Well, it advertises 17 DVDs which would imply the bonus DVD with Message from MBA on it, but then nothing is said of it in the lower section describing the extras. Dunno.

Not the best marketing strategy, IMO. If they're trying to market a 30-year Anniversary Set, then they should be more descriptive of what's in it. Obviously, any sci-fi item tends to be catering to a niche market to begin with, so keeping descriptions generic in order to appeal to the mass market seems a bit lame. Come to think of it, that's actually counter-intuitive... if they really wanted to give it more mass-market appeal, they should give better descriptions. The sci-fi niche already knows what the show is about; it's the mass-market newbies that probably don't.
