These are ROCO mini tanks and you need something like,

36 Armoured Ambulance (215)
12 Armoured recovery vehicles (257)
15 Scout Tank M-551 "Sheridan" (245)
10 BW HS-30 w/ 20mm Canon (210)

I got a few from here http://www.die-cast-toys.com/plastic-soldiers/roco.html a while ago (not 73 of them I have to say). The chap is friendly and a lot cheaper than eBay £1.99 each for most of them.

You might as well get the ROCO “Marder” (262) at the same time for the front

The only person I know off doing plans of the Galactica is Charles Adams. These are said to be fantastic

I am using Charles Adams plans along with 3 other sets i aquired from other builders. Charles's are the best though not perfect. The acrylics are cut using Adobe Illustrator files. The scribing is look at the reference & go for gold. I highly recomend Charles's plans. They are about $150US & printed 1/2 scale. You can contact him through my site. He goes under 'stararts'. There are no perfect plans for this & it just takes jumping in & going for it. There are plenty of people willing to help out with what they know & have learnt.
I have about 1/2 the kits needed. i went for the hardest non production kits first. they were also the most expensive. the hardest one to get will be the Otaki D5101 train. well among the hardest.

Gday everyone. Sorry haven't been updating the threads though will do my best over the next few days. Im in a gully & recieve poor coverage from my internet which mit very difficult to post stuff. The connection drops out every few minutes or less
Ive been working on the neck & arms over the last week after a break from the builds & have made good progress. I now use scaled photos to make my paterns which Ive developed a system I believe gets within a mm of the actual models dimensions. Its also great for parts placement
So the neck I discovered is asymetrical as is modt of this studio model. I have decided to go with it rather than correct it. Parts wouldn't sit right if I correct it so who am I to rework the masters.
I have to grind a tad off my arms for the arms to sit correctly which should be fun Thanks for looking.

Just had my head & landing bays sections laser cut.
Everything looks awsome & just can't wait to get these sections finally built.
Oh damnit I don't have the pictures accessible from here.
I will post them later.

Interested is about as big an understatement as it's possible to make...

For goodness sake send me a set of .DXF files and I'll join in.... I would have to half scale it though.

OOOH, nice box of goodies there Jase!

Just get the D51 castings from Custom Replicas and save yourself huge $$$. It would be cool to get the two Queensland and two South Australian Battlestars together one day for an EPIC photo shoot, eh? Might be a few years off though...

I wonder why BSG TOS is so big there...Full scale battlestars popping up all over. You guys should get together and build some sets.
