Sci-Fi & Fantasy Modellers: UK (SFM:UK) are proud to announce the launch of their 2007 online modelling competition.

The competition is based around the iconic British comic 2000 AD, and we are proud to announce that we are supported by Rebellion, the company that owns the comic and who will be supplying the main prize.

The competition will run from July 1 until November 1, 2007.

This competition is going to be good if that's the standard. What a great effort. The teeth, the suit the whole thing... very cool

Thanks!

I shall pass on your comment to the contestant (I'm not allowed to say who they are as all the entries are anonymous!).

The competition is open to all active members of SFM:UK, although the voting will be opened up to the larger community, including 2000AD online forum members.

Very nice, I still have my three Halcyon 1/6th vinyl Judge Dredd kit sat in boxes awaiting attention, another job I keep putting off.

Mind you I had previously raided the boxes and used the bases from the three kits, I turned them into wall clocks.

I know I want to, but I cannot seem to find the motivation to get cracked on with building figures.

I have the three vinyl JD figures, two resin 1/6th Corbin Dallas and Mr Zorg kits from the 5th Element, 10, yes 10 1/6th Sevan's Capatin Scarlet 1/6th vinyl kits several of which need converting or new character heads, and several Star Wars and Star Trek figures.

They are all sat waiting attention, just cannot find either the time or motivation to get cracking with them.

Thanks!

The deadline for entries is November 1st, then voting will open and close on December 1st. The winners will be announced shortly after (assuming we have enough entries for a viable competition that is ...).

Default COMPETITION VOTING NOW OPEN UNTIL DECEMBER 1

Okay, we have had a total of 44 entries for the 2000AD competition, and the voting is now live.

I would like to have as many votes as possible, so please feel free to spread the word.

Vote by going to the following page: http://www.tak5haka.co.uk/sfmuk-voti...2007-votes.asp

There is a list with a thumbnail view of each entry (there is also a link at the top of the page to the full entry listing on the SFM:UK site), so just choose which one you like and press the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the page. You should only be able to vote once - so choose carefully.

Thanks to everyone who entered the competition, the results will be announced in December.

Thanks guys - I'm hoping to get as many votes in as possible, but there's plenty of time.

I think there's some stunning work there, shame there wasn't more hardware, but the comic is character-driven and finding the kits is quite hard!
