Default Gerry Anderson night on BBC4

The BBC are preparing to do some sort of Gerry Anderson themed night probably in September. We are not quite sure of what it will involve but part of the plan is a documentary that I and several other Fanderson members have been involved with.
See my website http://homepages.tesco.net/d.sisson/Displays.htm for a few behind the scene shots of models being filmed. Original and replica puppets have also been filmed together with interviews featuring actors and backroom staff.
It sounds like it should be good.

Very interesting behind the scene photos. Wish I could catch this show, but unless it shows up on BBC America and I can sweet-talk a friend into taping it, I fear I'm out of luck. Damn.

Same here, I don't think we'll get it here either. I spied the pictures on the web site the other day, looks very interesting. I know they are trying to be careful, but you're very brave to let them handle all the models....nerve wracking.

Looks like that should be a good view then, definately one for the diary.

I would have thought that somebody would be recording the programmes onto a DVD, or hopefully so, as I cannot get BBC4 on Freeview ATM, I could get it but the channel seems to have dissapeared for some reason, hopefully I will get it back in time for the screening.

I'll be recording it...as long as I know when it's on. I have a cable TV hard drive system so will make sure I catch it.

Can do copies on DVD for cost of disc & postage...

I'd love a copy of a DVD, but I wonder if the region thing is going to be a problem. We are yet to get a non region DVD player in my house.

My freeview box often fails to pick up BBC4 too...but the crummy shopping channels come through very clearly!

To bloody right mate, BBC 4 comes and goes as it pleases, (as do a few other channels as I live in a dodgy reception area for Freeview), but the shopping channels are always there no problem. Gah!!!

The models and puppets are for a one hour documentary. They used original and replica puppets for interviews with voice artists, They`ve done loads of interviews, plus done close ups of Davids models and puppets belonging to me and a mate. The crew were very into it, I`ve got high hopes it`ll be a decent show.

Give us a date as and when you know about it...don't want to miss this - especially with the responsibility to record this being on my shoulders...
