Default Iconic Replicas' Thunderbird 2

Not that I intend buying one, but I see from Hobbylink Japan that TB2 doesn't even have a detachable pod - just something to note for anyone considering purchasing one.

One of the first things I noted when I first saw them advertised. I confess I like something to play with on these large models, hence why I would go for TB1 and why I like the 23" eagle.... slightly more bang for the bucks, or something like that.

No detachable pod? Wow. I'm even less likely to buy it now...

TB2 with no detachable pod? Burn the heretic!!! (Sorry, the meds haven't kicked in yet)

I'm slightly disappointed there.

I don't remember TB2 having writing plastered all over its ass end like this:

Hmmm... I'm just trying to remember which TV version of Thunderbird 2 was designed to be camoflaged against green brickwork...

Looking at this at work when a colleague passed by. Not noted for his sci fi and fantasy interests, he peeked over my shoulder and said "Even I know that's the wrong colour - I saw the original showing!"

It's amazing what you can find out about colleagues you've worked with for years, even when you're leaving...

Interesting to see from that shot that not only are the rockets too long, they are also too narrow where they attach to the ship. That's the little overhang that should be on TB1's nose. At least I know where it went now.

I like the writing on the bum thing.... it adds to the whole effect

The fact the pod does not come out is a real dumb thing, personally I think i have one of the best Tb2's the takara one at around 23inches and the fact the pod lowers, the legs work like the real thing, it has lights, the inside of the pod is detailed, and it is cheaper the PE one too, although I got the last one from Fabgearusa, i think they have stopped making them now. The pod vehicles are awsome two as few of them are remote control. I am very happy lol

Agree. Not just a good vehicle, but lots of fun pod gear to go with it.

Totally, i think do think the price was a little steep for me, but you can have so much fun, thats what i have against the IR TB2, The TB1 and 3 look cool but i'm afraid I can not afford such things

These TB2s are now available through one of our bigger collectibles distributors in Australia. $1099 AU. They are expected to be sold out before they are shipped from China. Perhaps they only ordered a few

That's more than the 23" eagle. It may have problems but its way more fun than this thing. Oh well...

This will sell-out, I've no doubts about that. But real collectors will remain without a large-scale, accurate Thunderbird 2. A golden opportunity is lost.
