Default Quark

No, not that Quark. The 1977 space spoof created by Buck Henry. All three parts of one episode are on YouTube:

Yeah -- not very funny. It's a sitcom that happens to be set in space. The jokes and the gags are few and far between. They seem to miss the point that funny dialogue is about saying funny things.

The actual series episodes were much better: they got rid of the laugh track too. Bye the bye, I just acquired one of the 'hero' costumes, which is one off my bucket list.

Default Quark: Mixed Quality

I think the funniest was the two-parter All The Emperor’s Quasi-Norms. This is where the daughter of the evil tyrant (Ross Martin clearly relishing his part) falls in love with Ficus, who persuades her to take part in a “pollination” ritual.

Oddly enough, Quark himself is a straight character; it is all those around him that are loony or just plain odd.
