Default UFO Moonbase Interceptor

Anyone out in model land ever built a Moonbase Interceptor? It's right near the top of a very long model wish list.

I saw David Sission's scratchbuild article in a back issue of Sci-Fi & Fantasy Models and was really impressed. I just need to collate a drawing to start building. As usual if anyone wants copies of any parts I make or has any parts or drawings already I would love to hear from them.

The only Moonbase Interceptors that I have ever got around to building so far are either the 1/48th resin and white metal or small scale white metal kit versions, those that were mainly available from Comet Miniatures.

The SF&F issue, was that the UFO Special that they released just before they went under.

The UFO Special was the last issue. it featured Sky 1 on the cover .

Anyway, I've built the Bandai 1/48th scale 'toy' and seriously re-worked it:

The actual outline of the body was quite accurate, the missile needed some serious re-shaping; tricky without a proper lathe!

They're nothing special; just some custom decal paper run through an HP inket printer, then sealed with Kleer/Future polish
