There's no mention of if it's going to be "re-imagined"... I hope not. Looks promising at this early stage.

I loved The Champions - I can still hear the tune. But I never realised it was a British series...

All the ITC shows were British tailored for the US market. Stuart Damon appeared in Space 1999 as one of the jelly monster crew of the Superswift and William Gaunt's sister Fiona played the doctor in Moonbase 3.

Anthony Nicholls, almost unrecognisable behind a false beard and wig in The Champions, played their boss Tremayne but he too appeared in Space 1999 ("The Troubled Spirit") as Dr. James Warren. He also played the war minister in the feature film "The Battle Of Britain".

Alexandra Bastedo also cropped up in various other guest roles in a number of ITC series and I remember being surprised to see her relatively recently in "Batman Begins".

The show was also created by Dennis Spooner, writer of many early Anderson show episodes plus one episode of UFO, and featured scripts by Donald James who worked on UFO, The Secret Service, Joe 90 and second season Space:1999.

Hmm... I just remember it as American through and through! Just goes to show it must have been marketed well.

British eh? Sci-Fi eh?... you know what that means, don't you?

Stuart Damon was the only regular American in it. He must have impressed you.

If he does as well as Hellboy it should be a great flick. He's pretty good at not stuffing things up too much

DX, my friend, haven't you learned it is really, really, unwise to bait the one who knows how to wield a sharp instrument?? That club is the least of your worries.
