Default Oi, Santa, any chance of this?

As a plane buff I sometimes buy 'Aeroplane Monthly', and saw this advertised in a recent issue:

http://tinyurl.com/34vfm2

Herpa Miniaturmodelle's 1/500 version of the NASA Boeing 747-SCA with OV-101 'Enterprise' on top. The shuttle is modelled with the aerodynamic cap over the engine bells.

I see they also make a model of 'Atlantis' stacked for launch, and 'Enterprise' on its own.

This manufacturer was previously unknown to me; anyone know their products?

Default Herpa is good...but DW is better!

Dr Kane, I’ve been collecting Herpa models for more than 20 years (airplanes and cars), excellent German quality and craftmanship…but I must confess that Dragon Wings (China) models are IMHO more accurate on what concerns little details, especially airliners.
Here are some fresh pictures of my Dragon Wings Columbia OV-102 w/ Boeing 747-123 SCA, scale 1:400… You'll be the judge!

Jorge

...and here's my Dragon Wings Discovery, also 1:400...very nicely detailed for such small scale!

Default Worth a look!

Dr Kane, just in case you want to dig a little dipper on what concerns which model company makes better planes, check the website of my good friend and model enthusiast Stefan Jennrich. If you’re an airplane buff like yours truly here, I assure you that you won’t be disappointed!

Have a nice flight!
