Those drawings are based on measurements taken from the first 44" studio model. Good luck with the kit. There's a lot to do.

Kostas, that is looking to be one nice Eagle project, as w8cmp mentioned please keep us up to date on your progress.

One other point to mention about your posts Kostas if you do not mind, please do not type an entire post/reply in capital letters, typing in Caps Lock is treated like shouting on a forum, its no biggie though its just polite to be seen not to shout in replies.

Thank you.

Tony.

Default Eagle project 1

Hello again my friends. TonyB sorry about my letters but i am a newcomer in forum and i have not read the rules for this. Thanks for your advice and i will try to be better.
And now to eagle project.I first start with the cages as seen on picture below.

amt/ertl eagle cage
My first improvement was to sand away the webbing between the tubings but in model the cross-section is not circular so i have cut away the tubings as seen in the photo below.

tubings cut away.
But after this i have tried to glue inside plastic rods from evergreen and i have see that is not real so i have take the big decision to make the cage from scratch with evergreen and plastruct tubes and rods and bingo.the first stage for the cage is ready as seen in photo:

scratchbuilding eagle cage stage 1
I wait for your advices comments or opinions maybe if any friend have.
Stay tuned. kostas

Making new cages is probably the best way to go. Perhaps make a jig to help you glue them together at the right angles.

K,
Good job with the aluminium! In the long run, building the cages may give you some grief, but the end product will look awesome! What you have done already shows that

Default cage stage 3

Hello again alphans.Well the jig for the cage construction works perfect.I have take the middle rods pieces and have sand them with a circular file for better contact when i glue them. You can see the results of my work in the photos below.

My last work now is to glue the middle cage rods from inside and after this the putty and sand work....stay tuned..
