Default UNCL Thunderbirds models

I was wondering if anyone knows if Uncle Bill sells his models directly to the public?

I have no idea but would also be interested to know if there is discount for buying from source! I'm currently awaiting the arrival of one of his TB3's from Comet but it seems to be taking a while. I wonder if he only builds them to order??

Well, five now!
Glad you mentioned Comet Miniatures, that was were I was going next. How long have you been waiting?

I've only been waiting about 3 weeks. Coincidentally I had a mail from Bill earlier so have asked him about turn-around times. I will let you know.

3 weeks is a long time, I've had stuff from the Far East in half that time. This is why I want to avoid Comet, I have had trouble in the past, & also I think because they are probably the biggest supplyer of Sci Fi stuff around, I get the feeling they charge well over the top for a lot of their lines. If they don't have the model, then why dont they tell you?

Ok, many thanks. Some great screen shots on his postings.

Does he actually make kits or just assemble them?

As far as I can tell, he actually makes them. Perhaps someone can bear me out on this?

Oh he certainly makes them alright! Bill is one of the most respected garage kit producers around today. He's so good Iconic Replicas use his stuff for "inspiration".

I did build his Angel Interceptor a couple of tears ago. I love that model, but unlike a couple of other garage kits it's been my misfortune to come across, it went together beautifully.
That is why I would love to get my hands on the 2 Thunderbird models.

That's actually a good point of reference. When posting messages, is there a spell check button? Can never find it!

I found a free program called "ieSpell" that checks everything in any Internet Explorer when you right click.
i don't know how big a program it is (or perhaps just a plug in), to send it via email but works every time. . . . . . . .if you remember to right click!

I will check and see if anyone is looking for it.

It was actually a Freudian slip, but anyway, back to the topic. I will probably end up at Comet again for these models, I just don't relish the waiting such as Slate has had to endure, made worse by not actually knowing when the models will arrive.
