Default Guess what it is yet?

Following on from Paul Gray's 'guess what it is', thought I'd try the same with my latest project:

Knowing how observant you bunch are like, I didn't want to give too much away just yet...

Uh...Wonder Woman's left bracelet?

Or, to put it another way, I have no idea.

The images you've provided give the impression of an arm for the Crablogger.

That's not a bad guess, but the "claw" has to be hinged. No Idea Dave. Are the rods axles?

Let's see, so far we've got:

1/ A ring with a tangential slice taken out.
2/ 2 chrome tubes (quite large).
3. A shallow box with a central double division.

Hmmmm. Absolutely no freakin' idea.

I had thought it might be..

..based on the tubes alone - really.

Yay, give that guy the prize!

I knew it wouldn't take one of you long to guess.

This was the next pic which would have given the game away I'm sure:

And some other shots of parts as they come together:

Great shots - what 'scale' is it?
I have a Master Replicas version (their best SW replica in my opinion) and it always becomes a talking point when guests arrive.

Sadly it has no working features - brake flaps, opening cockpit or even a moveable cable gun at the rear. Nor does it have any severe 'battle damage'.

Yours looks awesome!

Pictures of the complete deal when done?

To be honest, not sure of the scale, but it's 3 times larger than the old Ertl plastic kit.

This one will have opening air brakes, canopy, moveable gun and cockpit lit by fibre optics.

If you're interested, I'll post pics as I go. I'm mostly looking forward to the painting stage!

That first pic, I was saying 'a section of grey PVC pipe,' but I see that I was wrong.
