What the fudge...?

Brilliant show though. Puts gritty realism into sci-fi.

In the Netherlands they haven't even put season 3 on the telly. Last week I could lay my hands on an import version of season 3. Watched the complete season over a couple of days. The only episode I didn't like was the 'boxing episode'. The rest was great. The pull-back shot at the end of the last episode was a beauty.

I've just bought season 3 myself - it was screened down under on digital and I dont have digital so i missed it! Now it was discounted last week so I grabbed it so I can watch it when I want. Watched the first 4 episodes already. Love this show - starting to take over Babyl.... Space 1999 as being my favorite Sci Fi show.

Excellent episode - although I thought the 'journey' was quite fast - just one FTL jump?
I wonder who or what they'll find surviving?

Sorry guys, forgot that I was spoiling it for all those who hadn't seen it...!

Aparently this continues in the new year - this is a 'mid season break'.

Yes, but...notice nothing but close ups of where they wound up, and nothing discernible when the camera did pull back in those last shots. So just maybe things are not as they seem......

No.... isn't that LOST where nothing is as it seems and they get home but don't and there are others but we don't know or ..... whatever. I didn't get hooked on this at the beginning and so haven't followed it I'm afraid. I find that happening quite a lot with TV so avoid much of it.

Tony42, there are no series on Australian TV that I watch at the moment (sad part of the year)! Apart from V8s and F1, no TV at all. I just watch DVDs...

Too true. Very frustrating for my wife who follows a few, but is left hanging as our silly stations kill them half way through each season so as to sting them out.... more value for their money and crap for us

I didn't long ago get the Season 3 DVD box set. I waited for the Region 1 set as apparently the quality of the transfers in the R2 set aren't too great. Also, there are more extras in the R1 set.

The Adama manoevre and the fate of the Pegasus still get me, what a way to go.

I deliberately stayed away from Battlestar Galactica but a friend lent me his DVD of the pilot movie yesterday and pleaded with me to watch it.

He says it's actually quite good....

Shall I?

It can't do any harm, I was initially a bit wary. If you want an idea of what some of the battlescenes can look like, check out this video, though these are generally later series shots, but not all of them.

Give it a go, Eagle. You might just get hooked on the whole thing - convoluted plot treads that develop over multiple seasons, engaging characters (even the ones you despise), no fear of dealing with complex issues (administrative vs military power, treason, mutiny, lust, betrayal) all painted against a fight to the death penned in consultation with genuine military advisors. I really think it's a coming of age for sci-fi, and I challenge everyone to give it a try.

If you don't like it, no harm - no foul.

Anyone out there watched "Razor"; the very dark sequil to the Pegasus situation?

I never watched the original BSG but am very hooked on the reimagined version so I have no hangups about Starbuck being a woman. I'd say if you liked B5 give this a go - different kettle of fish I know but hard arsed sci fi none the less.

Still to find and watch Razor - is it worth it T7?
