ok folks here are the wheels. if you want in and haven't already expressed an interest this is your last chane. wheels are being made tomorrow. in order to keep costs reasonable these things can only be made in batches. so if you miss out you will have to wait until there is another list going.i haven't painted in the black bits i wanted you all to se them as they will arrive.
cheers Paul

Those wheels look wonderful. The only reason I didn't ask to be put on the list was I don't think they would fit my Studio 2 kit.

On a similar note, can anyone tell me the paint colour they used? Preferably a current car paint available in rattlecan, if there is one that is still made, or the nearest alternative if not.

(I should be getting a Photobucket account this weekend, so pictures of the progress should be coming soon.)

Thanks for that, Areteecee. The colour mentioned is Zircon Blue metallic. i shall have to get some once I have finished the filler primer and sanding stage.

Paul,
Any chance of getting my name down as the first on your next list?

Default Am I going mad or what?

I am starting to think I have been dreaming, but after asking about the colour of the SPV I could have sworn I came across a thread which said that the Studio 2 model was innacurate and needed to be basically cut into 4 pieces and stretched to make it accurate.

Is this the case, and if so - where would it need to be cut and how much added?

, , , and , hoping and I don't have to do it!

I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the Studio 2 SPV. I don't think that I've ever seen it- and how big is it?
I'm scratch building mine from photos and mine is working out to 22 inches long and 9 inches wide. I'm also having trouble finding the rear light fittings- are these still available?

The light fittings aren't available anymore.

I think they were supplied by Maplins or Radio Spares along time ago. I came across a red one at work on some old equipment recently, just need another (or copy it) for the back of my Explosives Truck.
I have seen them pop up on ebay from time to time under "Gerry Anderson Panel Lamps" or something like that!

are they the same as the ones you see on the puppet sets, more popular in Stingray?

Ive only managed to find a supplier of the ones you see in Thunderbirds, or at least theyre the closest Ive found so far

hubs have arrived and i think they look great. i have painted 2 hubs and placed them on the wheels so you can see what they look like and they come with a small "lug" on the rear so they will sit on the middle of the wheel. many thanks for everyone's prompt payment and those wanting their's sent now will be in the post on Monday. i have over estimated the postal costs so a small refund will also be included. if anyone is interested i have 1 spare set
cheers Paul
